Use

Veiksmažodinę frazę would like naudojame vietoje veiksmažodžio want, norėdami mandagiau išreikšti pasiūlymą ar pateikti prašymą.

Summary

Naudojame would like norėdami mandagiau išreikšti prašymus ar pasiūlymus, vietoje veiksmažodžio want.

Paprastai šis veiksmažodinė struktūra turi tris formas:

  • Teigiama forma [affirmative form]: sakinį pradedame veiksniu, kurį seka would like ir veiksmažodžio bendratis arba daiktavardis.
  • Neigiama forma [negative form]: sakinį pradedame veiksniu, kurį seka would not like ir veiksmažodžio bendratis arba daiktavardis.
  • Klausiamoji forma [interrogative form]: sakinį pradedame would, kurį seka veiksnys, veiksmažodis like ir veiksmažodžio bendratis arba daiktavardis. Sakinį užbaigiame tiesioginio klausimo skyrybos ženklu – klaustuku.

Pavyzdžiui:
— Teigiama f.: „I would like a cup of tea.“
— Neigiama f.: „I wouldn’t like a cup of tea.“
— Klausiamoji f.: „Would you like a cup of tea?

PASTABA: Veiksmažodis like turi visiškai kitokią reikšmę nei struktūra would like: like išreiškia pasimėgavimą kažkuo ar kažką atliekant.

Pavyzdžiui:
— “would like to do some sport.“ = Would like struktūra išreiškia subjekto/veiksnio norą sportuoti.
♦ “like sport.“ = Veiksmažodis like nusako, jog subjektui/veiksniui patinka sportuoti.
