Introduction
Infinitív [infinitive] je základný tvar slovesa, ktorý používame pre vytváranie iných slovesných časov.
Form
Existujú dva druhy infinitívu:
- Infinitív bez to [zero infinitive] je tvorený len slovesom v základnej podobe (work).
- Infinitív s to [to-infinitive] je tvorený to a slovesom v základnej podobe (to work).
Example
Infinitív bez to
- I can listen to music all day.
- He can dance really well.
- They can go to the circus.
Infinitív s to
- I asked him to teach me to read.
- She loves to visit the cathedral.
- We hope to find the information office.

Infinitív bez to a infinitív s to používame ako základ pre tvorenie iných gramatických časov.
