Use

We use adverbs of degree when we show the intensity of an action, adjective or another adverb.

The main adverbs of degree are:

  • Extremely (to a very great degree);
  • Fully (no less or fewer than);
  • Quite (enough);
  • Too (more than it should be);
  • Very (in a high degree).

  • I have an extremely busy schedule.
  • Our office is fully furnished.
  • This job is quite interesting.
  • Her dress was too small for me.
  • She likes Italy very much.
