Introduction
Il presente progressivo [present continuos] è un tempo verbale usato per parlare di situazioni che accadono nel presente (prima, durante e dopo il momento in cui se ne sta parlando ).
Quando viene espresso in forma interrogativa [interrogative form], viene usato per porre domande riguardo cose che stanno accadendo nel momento in cui si parla.

Il presente progressivo, nella forma interrogativa, ha la seguente struttura:

Per esempio:
— “Is he working on an important project today?” = Usiamo il presente progressivo perché stiamo chiedendo se un’azione si verifica mentre se ne parla (in questo momento).
♦ “Does he work on important projects?” = Usiamo il presente indicativo [present simple] perché stiamo chiedendo se un’azione si verifica ripetutamente o sempre, nel presente.
