Introduction
To be used to è una struttura usata per parlare di abitudini e costumi a noi familiari.
La forma Interrogativa viene usata per porre domande riguardo le abitudini del soggetto.
Form
To be used to, alla forma affermativa, ha questa struttura:
To be + subject + used to + [verb + ing]/pronoun/noun phrase + …?

Use
La struttura To be used to, alla forma affermativa, viene usata per chiedere di cose o attività a cui qualcuno è abituato o solito.

— “Are you used to having breakfast early in the morning?” = Chiadiamo se fare colazione la mattina è un’abitudine del soggetto o no.NOTE: Da non confondere con to use to, che può essere usato solo nelle frasi al passato.
Per esempio:
— “Are you used to have breakfast early in the morning?” = Usiamo to be used to per chiedere se il soggetto ha questa abitudine adesso.
♦ “Did you use to have breakfast in the morning?“= Usiamo to use to per chiedere se l’azione è avvenuta nel passato, dato che non accade più.(“Did you used to have breakfast early in the morning?” = Il passato è già espresso da did).
