Introduction
Adverbs – вирази,які мають функцію модифікаторів інших елементів речення.Вони можуть надавати широкий спектр інформації.Ті,які вживаються,щоб надати інформацію про спосіб (як) щось робиться, називаються Adverbs of Manner.
EXTRA: Adverbs = Прислівники; Adverbs of Manner = Прислівниками способу дії.
Form
Adverbs of Manner зазвичай мають таку структуру:
adjective + -ly

Деякі з них є неправильними і не дотримуються того ж самого правила чи просто підтримують ту саму форму прикметника,наприклад:

Example
Regular
- He was very badly hurt in the accident.
- She didn’t know exactly what happened.
- She told them that she had a headache but they continued talking too loudly.
- She combed her hair nicely.
- She went to the Social Welfare and asked politely for help.
Irregular
- He put orange juice in the fridge fast.
- You said it well.
- This job is so hard, I need a drink.
- He answered my question late.
- Hold the bottle straight.
Use
Adverbs of Manner вживаються,щоб розповісти нам спосіб або як щось робиться.
Завжди стоять після дієслова і можуть вживатися зі словами very або too.
Summary
Adverbs є важливими,оскільки змінюють інші елементи в реченні. В англійській мові, прислівники можуть надавати інформацію про спосіб (як) щось робиться і їх називають Adverbs of Manner.
Основними Adverbs of Manner є, коли ми використовуємо структуру:
adjective + -ly (e.g. badly).
(badly, exactly, loudly, nicely, politely…).
Наприклад:
— “He quickly kissed the girl on the cheek.” = Пояснюється,як дія робиться.
— “I happily gave him the good news.” = Пояснюється,як дія робиться.
NOTE: деякі Adverbs of Manner є неправильними (наприклад, fast, well, hard, late, straight…).
