Research

We standardise the language education system, following the CEFR for Languages guidelines. By creating an Integrated Foreign Languages Curriculum, we unify the different language courses and align the levels of language competence thanks to the Reference Level Descriptors.

Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) provides a common basis for the elaboration of language syllabuses, curriculum guidelines, examinations and textbooks across European Languages. The main purpose of the Reference Level Descriptors (RLD) is, for a given language, to describe the Framework descriptors that characterise the competences of learners in terms of linguistic material specific to that language.

Although European Union Council Resolution recommends using the CEFR to set up systems of validation of language ability in 2001 in many countries, the language teaching still does not follow these recommendations in the teaching of their native languages. Most popular languages such as English, Spanish or French have their RLD completed, but other, less popular ones, still need to have their outlines drawn.

We will contribute to create the RLD of the levels in languages we offer for our curriculums. To facilitate students’ and teachers’ cooperation, we create an Integrated Foreign Languages Curriculum (IFLC) based on RLD where all the courses have the same objective for one specific unit.
