Introduction
La h è l’unica consonante italiana fricativa glottale, sorda.
Form
La consonante glottale è:

Example
h: hobby, hotel, panchina.
Use
Viene articolata accostando le corde vocali nella glottide, e non nella cavità orale come le altre consonanti. È una consonante muta perchè non si pronuncia, ma si lega ad altre lettere per modificarne il suono (come nel caso della “ch”, “gh”).
- h: sorda, le corde vocali non vibrano durante l’articolazione.
