Sillabe accentate

Introduction

Le sillabe accentate (dette anche toniche) sono quelle che si pronunciano con maggior intensità, cioè quelle su cui cade l’accento.

Form

In base alla sillaba su cui cade l’accento, le parole italiane si distinguono in tronche, piane, sdrucciole e bisdrucciole.

Example

  1. parole tronche: caffè, colibrì, libertà;
  2. parole piane: libro, matita, penna;
  3. parole sdrucciole: pallido, simpatico, zucchero;
  4. parole bisdrucciole: abitano, lasciatemelo, scriviglielo.

Use

  1. Le parole tronche sono quelle che hanno l’accento sull’ultima sillaba, e sono le uniche che presentano l’accento grafico;
  2. nelle parole piane l’accento cade sulla penultima sillaba (ma non si indica a livello grafico);
  3. nelle sdrucciole l’accento cade sulla terzultima sillaba (ma non si indica a livello grafico);
  4. nelle bisdrucciole l’accento cade sulla quartultima sillaba (indicarlo a livello grafico è facoltativo, si può fare per facilitare la pronuncia della parola).
