Introduction

El pronom impersonnel (pronombre impersonal) «Il» no remite a un individuo u objeto preciso, sino que es él mismo el sujeto.

Form

El pronom impersonnel il es un sujeto que no hace referencia a una persona, animal u objeto definido.

Algunos verbos solo se conjugan en 3a persona del singular il: estos son los verbes impersonnels (verbos impersonales).

Usamos la construcción con el il impersonnel para hablar de la hora:

  • Question: Quelle heure est-il ?
  • Réponse: Il + (n’) est (pas) + chiffre + heures + minutes.

Construcción con el il impersonnel para hablar del tiempo (tres maneras distintas):

  • Il + fait + adjectif: il fait beau.
  • Il + certains verbes: il pleut.
  • Il y a + préposition (de, des, de la, du) + nom: il y a des nuages.

Todos los verbos relacionados con el tiempo (por ejemplo: neiger <nevar>, pleuvoir <llover>, venter <ventear>, grêler <granizar>) son impersonales.

Example

  • Para hablar de la hora
    • Il est 13h30 (treize heures trente ou une heure et demie).
    • Il va être 14h (quatorze heures ou deux heures).
    • Il est 9H50 (neuf heures cinquante ou dix heures moins dix).
  • Para hablar del tiempo
    • Il fait chaud aujourd’hui.
    • Il a neigé la semaine dernière.
    • Il pleut.
    • Il y a du vent.

Use

El pronom Impersonnel «Il»  sirve para conjugar los verbos impersonales, por ejemplo, para hablar del tiempo o para indicar la hora.

Related

Il es un pronom personnel sujet (pronombre personal sujeto) de tercera persona del singular. En francés, podemos utilizarlo como un pronom impersonnel (pronombre impersonal) y se transforma en un sujeto vacío que no remite a nada.

Los utilizamos con los verbos impersonales como falloir (necesitar).

También sirve para construir la expresión il y a (hay).
