Introduction

Un verbe modal (verbo modal) indica una intención en la acción. Esta intención puede estar inducida por los sucesos o por el sujeto.

Existen tres verbos modales: pouvoir (poder), vouloir (querer), devoir (deber).

Form

El verbe modal se conjuga en todos los tiempos y modos. La oración se forma del siguiente modo:
sujet + verbe modal devoir conjugué + infinitif du verbe.

Aquí debajo tenemos la conjugación del verbo devoir en presente de indicativo:

SUJET DEVOIR 
Je dois
Tu dois
Il, elle, on doit
Nous devons
Vous devez
Ils, elles doivent

 

Example

  • Je dois faire mes devoirs.
  • Tu dois aller à l’école.
  • Il doit travailler tous les jours.
  • Nous devons obéir à nos parents.
  • Vous devez faire attention.
  • Elles doivent apprendre à conduire.

Use

Devoir (deber) expresa la obligación (moral o social) que impulsa al sujeto a reaccionar. Se emplea para expresar una gran probabilidad, cercana a la certeza.

Los verbes modaux son verbos que influyen en los otros verbos que acompañan. Permiten presentar un hecho como posible o imposible, necesario, permitido u obligatorio. Son tres verbos: devoir, pouvoir y vouloir.

  • Devoir es un verbo, aunque también se puede usar como sustantivo. En el nivel A2, en el capítulo sobre la nominalisation, aprenderás más sobre la formación de sustantivos a partir de adjetivos y verbos.
