Introduction

Lowercase letters can be written in many contexts, but there are specific situations in which we should not write in uppercase.

Example

  • Family members:
    • mother
    • brother
    • uncle
  • Places:
    • beach
    • mountains
    • park
  • Physical descriptions:
    • beautiful
    • tall
    • fat

Use

We must use lowercase letters when we are talking about:

  • Family members (as common nouns);
  • Common places (which are not specific countries or cities);
  • Physical descriptions carried out by adjectives.
