The following table shows the formation of adverbs of manner:

Adjetivo Femenino singular Sufijo  Adverbio
Estupendo Estupenda mente  Estupendamente
Amable Amable mente Amablemente

  • is used to explain how and/or in what way the action of the verb is performed;
  • It answers the question ¿Cómo?

Summary

Adverbs of manner are used to express how the action of the verb is carried out.

In Spanish, they can be created from adjectives by adding the suffix mente; in adjectives ending in -o we change -o into -a.

For example:
— «El viento es muy constante». → «Hace viento constantemente».
