INTRODUCTION

The exclamation mark is a punctuation mark placed at the end of the sentence and it is usually used after an exclamation to add emphasis.

FORM

The exclamation mark is: !

EXAMPLE

  • Help! Help!
  • What a lovely day!
  • Look out!

USE

Exclamation marks are used to express exasperation, astonishment or surprise, or to emphasize a comment or a short, sharp phrase.
