- You know what you should do now: study.
- He received what he wanted: a pair of warm socks.
- David has always wanted to do one thing: to move out.
- In direct speech
- She said: ‘I don’t want you to act like this when the children are around.’

- My boss explained: ‘You have to follow the rules.’
