INTRODUCTION

The ‘.‘ mark has got three names depending on its use: a dot, a full stop, a point.

FORM

After a full stop, we start a new sentence:

  1. in the same paragraph, if the content is about the same topic
  2. in a different paragraph, if the content is about a different topic

If we want to finish the text, we finish after the full stop.

EXAMPLE

  1. in the same paragraph, if the content is about the same topic
    • You might not understand the difference between personality and character. We are going to explain it in this chapter.
  2. in a different paragraph, if the content is about a different topic
    • They tell us that we should enjoy life. I disagree

Freedom is found in maximising moment to moment pleasure. That is why people don’t understand who they really are.
  3. If we want to finish the text, we finish after the full stop.
    • One of the ways of being honest with yourself is trying to stop doing that. If you practise that you get better and better at doing that.
