Introduction
Adverbs [adverbios] modify a verb, adjective, or another adverb in a sentence.
Adverbs of manner [adverbios de modo] give specific information about the way/form/mode in which the action is performed.
Form
Adverbs of manner are generally placed after the verb.
The main adverbs of manner are: así, bien, mal, regular, mejor, peor, despacio, deprisa, etc.
Adverbs do not vary in gender or number.
Example
- La tarjeta de crédito se usa así;
- Hay que saber invertir bien tu dinero;
- En ese supermercado no te tratan mal;
- Lo normal es ir a la tienda de manera regular;
- Las cosas, con regalos, se venden mejor;
- Habla con este vendedor, que ese de ahí es peor;
- Para que el cuadro sea bonito tienes que pintarlo despacio;
- Es difícil hacer las cosas bien si las haces deprisa.

Adverbs of manner are used to explain how and in what way the action of the verb is performed. They answer the question: ¿Cómo?

For example:
— «Has hecho los deberes mal.» = Mal is an adverb that modifies the verb hacer;
— «Por favor, conduce despacio.» = Despacio is an adverb modifying the verb conducir.
