Introduction
Ο απλός Αόριστος [Past Simple] είναι ο χρόνος που χρησιμοποιούμε όταν θέλουμε να μιλήσουμε για καταστάσεις που συνέβησαν στο παρελθόν και πλέον έχουν λήξει.
Πολλά κοινά ρήματα έχουν ανώμαλους τύπους στο παρελθόν [irregular past forms].
Form
Δεν υπάρχει κάποιος συγκεκριμένος κανόνας για τον σχηματισμό των irregular στο past simple.
Παρακάτω μπορείτε να δείτε τα πιο κοινά irregular verbs:

Use
Τα irregular verbs χρησιμοποιούνται όπως τα ομαλά στον past simple αλλά κάθε ρήμα έχει έναν συγκεκριμένο τύπο τον οποίο πρέπει να μάθουμε απ’έξω.

Αυτά που χρησιμοποιούνται περισσότερο είναι: become ⇒ became, do ⇒ did, go ⇒ went, have ⇒ had, leave ⇒ left, read ⇒ read, see ⇒ saw…
Για παράδειγμα:
— “I left my blanket under the tree.” / “I leaved my blanket under the tree.” = Tο ρήμα leave αλλάζει σε left, γιατί είναι ανώμαλο ρήμα [irregular verb].
