Introduction

Paprastasis būtasis laikas (Past Simple) naudojamas išreikšti situacijas, įvykius ir veiksmus, įvykusius praeityje.

Daugelis veiksmažodžių turi netaisyklingą paprastojo būtojo laiko (Past Simple) formą [irregular past form].

Form

Nėra taisyklės paaiškinančios, kaip formuojami paprastojo būtojo laiko (Past Simple) netaisyklingi veiksmažodžiai. Jų formas turime išmokti atmintinai.

Dažniausiai naudojami netaisyklingi veiksmažodžiai yra šie:

Verb Past Simple
become became
break broke
bring brought
buy bought
do did
draw drew
drink drank
eat ate
feel felt
find found
go went
have had

Use

Paprastojo būtojo laiko (Past Simple) netaisyklingų veiksmažodžių formas naudojame taip pat kaip ir taisyklingų, tačiau jie sudaromi skirtingai.

Summary

Daugelis veiksmažodžių turi netaisyklingą paprastojo būtojo laiko (Past Simple) formą [irregular past form].

Dažniausiai naudojami yra šie: become ⇒ became, do ⇒ did, go ⇒ went, have ⇒ had, leave ⇒ left,  read ⇒ read, see ⇒ saw

Pavyzdžiui:
— „I left my blanket under the tree.“ / „I leaved my blanket under the tree.“ = Veiksmažodis leave pakeičiamas į left, kadangi jis yra netaisyklingas veiksmažodis.
