Introduction

Minulý čas jednoduchý [past simple] je gramatický čas, ktorý používame, keď hovoríme o situáciách, ktoré sa odohrali v minulosti a už boli ukončené.

Veľa bežných slovies má nepravidelný minulý tvar [irregular past form].

Form

Neexistuje pravidlo opisujúce tvorenie nepravidelných tvarov minulého času jednoduchého, táto slovesá a ich tvary minulého času sa skrátka musíme naučiť naspamäť.

Toto sú najčastejšie používané nepravidelné slovesá:

Example

  • bought a film yesterday.
  • He drank wine at church.
  • They went to the mountains last week.

  • We saw a concert in the park.

Use

Nepravidelné minulé tvary používame rovnako ako tie pravidelné, ale tvoríme je iným spôsobom.

— „I left my blanket under the tree.“ / „I leaved my blanket under the tree.“ = Sloveso leave sa mení na left, pretože je to nepravidelné sloveso.
