Introduction

Il futuro [future] è il tempo verbale per parlare di eventi futuri.

Quando usiamo il presente progressivo [present continuous] ci riferiamo a piani programmati {vedi il Presente Progressivo, livello A1}.

Form

Example

  • She‘s having a birthday party next week.
  • She isn’t having a birthday party next week.
  • Is she having a birthday party next week?

Use

Il presente progressivo si usa per parlare di piani futuri o eventi già programmati.

Summary

Il presente progressivo [present continuous] si usa per parlare del futuro programmato.

Per esempio:
— “I am working on an important project the whole month.” = Usiamo il presente progressivo in qualità di futuro perchè parliamo di un futuro prossimo (presto).
♦ “I am working on an important project the whole month.” = Usiamo il presente progressivo in qualità di futuro perchè parliamo di un futuro prossimo (adesso).
♦ “I will work on an important project the whole month.” = Usiamo il futuro semplice perchè parliamo di un periodo futuro lontano (futuro).
