Introduction

I quantificatori [Determiners] modificano i sostantivi e forniscono una vasta gamma di informazioni su chi e quante persone, cose, animali, luoghi…stiamo parlando.

Quelli che indicano la quantità di qualcosa si chiamano quantificatori [Quantitative Determiners o Quantifiers] {see Quantitative Determiners, A1 Level}.

Form

Usiamo i quntificatori [Quantitative Determiners/Quantifiers] per decrivere la quantità di qualcosa.

I piú comuni quntificatori sono: all (of), a lot of (lots of), a number of, enough (of), most (of), none (of)…

Example

  1. All my friends like drawing.
    All of my friends like drawing.
  2. A lot can happen in a long trip.
    Lots of things can happen in a long trip.
  3. A number of pilots were waiting.
  4. There isn’t enough red wine for everyone.
    There are enough of us to get the group price.
  5. This plant has the most strawberries.
    Most of the students in our university are from France.
  6. I have three leather jackets, he has none.
    None of their children have dark skin.

Use

Usiamo i quantificatori [Quantitative Determiners] per indicare la quantità di qualcosa:

  1. All (of) (tutti , l’intera quantitá o numero);
  2. A lot (of) (un gran numero o quantitá, scala o grado);
  3. A number of (piú di due ma meno di molti);
  4. Enough (of) (quantitá, qualitá, o scopo che soddisfa le aspettative);
  5. Most (of) (una gran quantitá, scala, o grado, maggioranza);
  6. None (of) (nessuno, non una persona).

Summary
