Introduction
Determinanții [Determiners] sunt modificatorii substantivelor. Ei pot oferi informații despre which (care) și how much/many (cât, câți/câte) oameni, obiecte, animale, locuri… este vorba.
Determinanții cantitativi sau cuantificatorii [Quantitative determiners, quantifiers] sunt utilizați pentru a indica cantitatea a ceva {vezi Determinanții Cantitativi, Nivelul A1}.
Form
Folosim determinanții cantitativi cu scopul de a descrie cantitatea a ceva.
Cei mai frecvenți cuantificatori sunt: all (of), a lot of (lots of), a number of, enough (of), most (of), none (of)…
Example
- All my friends like drawing.
All of my friends like drawing. - A lot can happen in a long trip.
Lots of things can happen in a long trip. - A number of pilots were waiting.
- There isn’t enough red wine for everyone.
There are enough of us to get the group price. - This plant has the most strawberries.
Most of the students in our university are from France. - I have three leather jackets, he has none.
None of their children have dark skin.
Use
Folosim determinanții cantitativi pentru a indica cantitatea a ceva:
- All (of) (fiecare și fiece, întreaga cantitate sau număr);
- A lot (of) (un număr mare în cantitate, scară sau grad);
- A number of (mai mult decât doi, dar mai puțini decât mulți);
- Enough (of) (cantitate, calitate, sau scop care implică cerințe, solicitări, sau așteptări);
- Most (of) (cel mai mare în cantitate, scară, sau grad, majoritate);
- None (of) (niciunul, niciun,nicio,niciuna).
