Introduction

Prepozițiile [Prepositions] sunt cuvinte mici care fac legătura dintre elementele unei propoziții. Ele sunt esențiale deoarece oferă detalii adiționale despre propoziție.

Folosim prepozițiile de mișcare [prepositions of movement] pentru a exprima mișcarea sau direcțiile.

Form

Prepozițiile de mișcare nu stau singure, dar fac legătura cu alte elemente dintr-o propoziție. Utilizarea lor depinde de:

  1. Mișcarea spre sau dintr-un loc: to, from, down, up, away from…
  2. Mișcarea dintr-o parte în alta: across, along…
  3. Schimbarea poziției: in/into, on/onto, out of, off, over, under…

Example

Mișcarea spre sau dintr-un loc

  • Get away from the olive trees!
  • The baby pig fell down the stairs.
  • My mother came from the garden.
  • Northern wind goes to Turkey every winter.
  • I’m going up to the second floor to see the sky.

Mișcarea dintr-o parte în alta

  • Be careful when you go across the streets. It is snowing.
  • Every Sunday we go for a walk along the coast.

Schimbarea poziției

  • My grandfather is coming into the garden.
  • My sister’s cat always jumps on/onto the table.
  • Your dog is out of your apartment right now.
  • Can you get off the bed and go to the supermarket, please?
  • The plane flies over the hill.
  • The subway runs under the street level.

Use

Prepozițiile de mișcare se utilizează pentru a arăta mișcarea dintr-un loc în altul. Ele pot exprima:

  1. Mișcarea spre sau dintr-un loc;
  2. Mișcarea dintr-o parte în alta;
  3. Schimbarea poziției.
