Introduction
Adjectives можуть вживатися в активному і пасивному стані,але мають значну відмінність за значенням.
Passive Adjectives виражають ідею чогось чи когось,хто переживає особливу подію чи дію, натомість Active Adjectives виражають ідею чогось чи когось, хто викликає певну подію чи дію.
EXTRA: Adjectives = Прикметники; Passive Adjectives = Пасивні прикметники; Active Adjectives = Активні прикметники.
Form
Нижче,ви може побачити як утворюються Active і Passive Adjectives:
- Active adjectives with suffix -ing.
- Passive adjectives with suffix -ed.
Example
Active adjectives
- Her answer was amazing!
- The film is so boring!
- They found the topic very interesting.
Passive adjectives
- We were amazed by her answer.
- I don’t like this film, I’m bored.
- They were interested in the topic.
Use
Ми вживаємо Active Adjectives ,коли говоримо про когось чи щось,що викликає певну дію.
Ми вживаємо Passive Adjectives ,коли говоримо про когось чи щось, що переживає почуття чи емоції.
Summary
Ми можемо вживати прикметники в Пасивному чи Активному стані, із значною різницею в значенні.
- Passive Adjectives виражають ідею чогось чи когось,хто переживає особливу подію чи дію. Active Adjectives виражають ідею чогось чи когось,хто викликає певну подію чи дію.
- Active Adjectives, як правило закінчуються на -ing і Passive Adjectives, як правило закінчуються на –ed.
Наприклад:
— “This class was boring!“= Active Adjectives.
— “I was bored during the lesson.”= Passive Adjectives.
