Introduction
Prepositions – маленькі слова,які пов’язані з іншим елементом в реченні.Вони мають важливе значення,тому що надають додаткову інформацію про речення.
Ми вживаємо наступні Prepositions of Time, щоб розмістити подію в часовій межі: At, on, in.
EXTRA: Prepositions = Прийменники; Prepositions of Time = Прийменники часу.
Form
Prepositions of Time не стоять самі,але взаємодіють з іншими елементами речення, щоб утворити те,що ми можемо назвати Prepositional Phrases: at, on, in, by.
Example
At
- Everyday at 7.00 clock I can see the stars.
- He is going to the forest at Easter.
- At weekends we take the dogs for a walk.
On
- On Sundays, I usually relax with my friends by going to the coast.
- She was born on the 1st of September in 1997.
- The island sank on Sunday morning.
In
- I always travel to famous forests in Finland in November.
- In autumn it always rains.
- In the evening the horses started to run.
By
- Please, send me those tickets by Monday.
- She has to finish her world map by next week.
- Is Maria still in the garden? Yes, she will be back by evening.
Use
Prepositions of Time дають можливість розмістити подію в точний момент чи період.
At
- точний час (the moment, sunrise, noon, night, midnight, hours);
- певний період відпустки (Christmas*, Easter, etc.);
- weekend*.
On
- дні тижня (monday, saturday, wednesday etc.);
- дати;
- певна частина дня (наприклад, “on sunday morning”).
In
- місяці,роки,століття;
- пори року;
- The morning, the afternoon, the evening.
*В американській англійській ви можете знайти on замість at.

Прийменники важливі, оскільки вони є маленькими словами,які пов’язані з іншими елементами в реченні і надають додаткову інформацію про межу,в якій розвивається дія.
Ми розміщаємо подію в контексті часу,використовуючи наступні Prepositions of Time:
- At: для точного часу (the moment, sunrise, noon, night, midnight, hours), певного періоду відпустки (Christmas*, Easter, etc.), weekend*.
- On: дні тижня,дати,певні частини дня(наприклад, “on sunday morning”).

Наприклад:
— “I always go to my grandparents’ house at Christmas.” = Ми вживаємо at, тому що відноситься до певного періоду відпустки.
— “I always go to my grandparents’ house on 25th of December.” = Ми вживаємо on, тому що відноситься до дати.
— “I always go to my grandparents’ house in December.” = Ми вживаємо in, тому що відноситься до місяця.
