Introduction
Pronouns – слова,які вживаються для уникнення повтору іменників. В англійській мові ми розрізняємо займенники залежно від числа (однина,множина) і роду (чоловічий,жіночий,середній).
Reflexive Pronouns вживаються для того,щоб наголосити на суб’єкт в реченні.
EXTRA: Pronouns = Займенники; Reflexive Pronouns = Зворотні займенники.
Form
Reflexive Pronouns можна розглядати як поєднання присвійних прикметників і слова “self” (“selves” для множини).

Example
- I managed to find my way around the old city myself (nobody helped me).
- The shop assistant replied to the customer himself.
- The employees shouldn’t blame themselves when clients don’t want to buy a product.
Use
Reflexive Pronouns зазвичай вживаються,щоб розповісти про дії,де суб’єктом і об’єктом речення мається на увазі та ж сама особа. В інших словах особа,яка виконує дію є також особою,яка піддається дії і відчуває його.
Наступні дієслова є дуже спільними з Reflexive Pronouns як прямі об’єкти: enjoy, help, cut, kill, introduce, hurt, prepare, etc.
Summary
Ми вживаємо Reflexive Pronouns, щоб наголосити на суб’єкт речення.
Як і з усіма займенниками,ми розрізняємо їх за числом (“-self” однина, “-selves” множина) і родом (чоловічий,жіночий,середній).
Наприклад:
— “I have to prepare myself for the party.” = Суб’єкт виконує дію і піддається їй. “I” – суб’єкт дієслова і поводиться як виконавець, “myself” – суб’єкт дії і є одним,хто випробовує дію, але фактично,ці два займенники відносяться до тієї ж особи.
