Introduction
Умовні речення – речення,які мають дві частини: речення з if, яке виражає умову, і речення,яке виражає наслідок тієї умови.
Ми вживаємо структуру Zero Conditional, коли результат умови завжди правильний.
Form
Порядок речень не змінює значення, крім того тут є два способи утворення цього виразу:

Example
If
- If water reaches 100 degrees, it always boils.
- Water always boils if it reaches 100 degrees.
When
- When people don’t drink water for a long time, they die.
- People die when they don’t drink water for a long time.
Use
Ми вживаємо Zero Conditional, щоб розповісти про факти і речі,які завжди трапляються, такі як наукові факти.Результат умови точний.
- If вживається,коли ми хочемо сказати,що умова негайно відбудеться;
- When вживається, коли ми хочемо сказати,що умова негайно відбудеться незабаром чи пізніше.
Summary
Ми вживаємо Zero Conditional, коли результат умови завжди правильний. Zero Conditional також вживається, щоб розповісти про факти і речі,які завжди трапляються, такі як наукові факти.
Речення умови зазвичай складаються з двох частин: “речення з if” (або речення умови),яке виражає умову, і “головне речення”,яке виражає наслідок тієї умови. Обидві частини в часі Present Simple.
Це можливі структури:
If/When + present simple + , + present simple
Present simple + if/when + present simple
*If = Умова негайно відбудеться.
*When = Неодмінно відбудеться незабаром або пізніше.
Наприклад:
— “I go to the supermarket if you tell me what to buy.” = Перша частина речення є результатом умови,яка виражена в другому реченні.
— “If you tell me what to buy, I go to the supermarket.” = Перша частина речення є умовою,яка призводить до результату,який виражений в другому реченні.
