Introduction
Les pronoms [pronouns] sont des mots qui servent à éviter la répétition d’un nom. {Voir les pronoms personnels sujets, niveau A1}
Les pronoms réfléchis [reflexive pronouns] s’emploient pour insister sur le sujet de la phrase.
Form
Les pronoms réfléchis sont l’association d’un adjectif possessif et du mot self au singulier ou selves au pluriel.

Example
- I managed to find my way around the old city myself (nobody helped me).
- The shop assistant replied to the customer himself.
- The employees shouldn’t blame themselves when clients don’t want to buy a product.
Use
On utilise les pronoms réfléchis pour parler d’actions dans lesquelles le sujet et l’objet sont la même personne ou chose. En d’autres termes, la personne qui fait l’action est aussi celle sur qui porte cette action.
Summary
Les pronoms réfléchis [reflexive pronouns] renvoient au sujet de la phrase. Ils se distinguent en genre et en nombre (-self au singulier et -selves au pluriel).
Ce sont : myself, yourself, himself, herself, itself, ourselves, yourselves et themselves.
Par exemple :
— « I have to prepare myself for the shopping centre. » = Myself renvoie au sujet (I).
♦ « I have to prepare my clothes and hair for the shopping centre. » = My renvoie à l’objet (clothes).
