Introduction
To be used to est une expression utilisée pour exprimer une habitude ou une coutume qui nous est familière.
À la forme interrogative, l’expression sert à poser une question sur les habitudes du sujet.
Form
Voici la structure de to be used to à la forme interrogative :
To be + sujet + used to + [verbe + ing]/pronom/groupe nominal + …?

Example
- Are they used to working in a big, modern city?
- You have had long hair since you were a child so are you still used to it?
- Is he used to the noise of the shower?
Use
À la forme interrogative, to be used to sert à s’informer sur les habitudes de quelqu’un.
Summary
La forme interrogative de to be used to permet de s’informer sur les habitudes du sujet.
Quand on emploie to be used to à la forme interrogative, on commence avec le verbe to be conjugué {Voir to be, niveau A1}, suivi du sujet, de used to et du verbe en -ing, d’un pronom ou d’un groupe nominal (la phrase se termine par un point d’interrogation).
Par exemple :
— « Are you used to having breakfast early in the morning? » = On demande au sujet si prendre son petit déjeuner tôt (early in the morning) fait partie de ses habitudes.
NOTE : Ne pas confondre avec to use to qui n’est utilisé que dans les phrases au passé.
Par exemple :
— « Are you used to having breakfast early in the morning? » = On utilise to be used to pour savoir si cela fait partie des habitudes du sujet dans le présent.
♦ « Did you use to have breakfast early in the morning? » = On utilise to use to pour savoir si le sujet avait cette habitude dans le passé puisqu’elle n’est plus d’actualité. (« Did you used to have breakfast early in the morning? » = La marque du passé est portée par le verbe to do (did).
