Introduction
Adverbs sind Ausdrücke, die als Modifikatoren anderer Elemente der Klausel fungieren. Sie können eine breite Palette von Informationen zur Verfügung stellen.
Diejenigen, die verwendet werden, um Informationen über den Ort, wo ein Ereignis stattfindet, werden als Adverbs of Place bezeichnet.

here, there, downstairs, upstairs, inside, outside, indoors, outdoors, anywhere, abroad…
Example
- The non-alcoholic drinks are downstairs.
- A packet of flour was here yesterday.
- Stay indoors and don’t ask questions.
- I stay inside have a warm meal when the weather is bad.
- Everybody is outside.
- He was there at the bar 2 minutes before.
- They are sitting upstairs.
Use
Adverbs of Place geben uns Informationen über die Lage. Wir stellen sie gewöhnlich nach dem Hauptverb oder nach einem Objekt. Adverbs of Place sind keine Modifikatoren anderer Adjektive oder Adverbien.
- Downstairs (situated on a lower floor);
- Outside (the outer side of something);
- Here (at this point);
- Indoors (in buildings);
- Abroad (in foreign countries);
- Upstairs (up the stairs, on an upper floor);
- Inside (the inner side of something);
- There (at that place);
- Outdoors (into the open air);
- Anywhere (at any place).

Adverbs sind wichtig, da sie andere Elemente in einem Satz ändern. Auf Englisch können Adverbien Informationen über den Ort geben, an dem ein Ereignis stattfindet und diese werden als Adverbs of Place bezeichnet.
