Introduction

Adberbioak klausularen beste elementuen modifikatzaile moduan funtzionatzen duten espresioak dira. Informazio ugari eman dezakete.

Leku adberbioak ekintza baten lekuari buruz informazioa ematen dute.

Form

Leku adberbioak ez dira beste adjektibo edo adberbio baten modifikatzaile moduan erabiltzen. Esaldian objektu edo aditzen atzetik doaz.

Gehien erabiltzen direnak hurrengoak dira: here, there, downstairs, upstairs, inside, outside, indoors, outdoors, anywhere, abroad…

Example

  • The non-alcoholic drinks are downstairs.
  • A packet of flour was here yesterday.
  • Stay indoors and don’t ask questions.
  • I stay inside have a warm meal when the weather is bad.
  • Everybody is outside.
  • He was there at the bar 2 minutes before.
  • They are sitting upstairs.
