Introduction

Be going to etorkizunari erreferentzia egiten dion egitura da {ikusi Be going to, A1 level}.

Example

Betebeharrak

  • You are going to talk to the boss!
  • He is going to work as a babysitter.
  • They are not going to meet with the client.

Iragarpenak

  • The profit is low. We are going to go bankrupt.
  • The profit is high. We are not going to go bankrupt.
  • The profit is low. Are we going to go bankrupt?

Gertatuko diren gauzak

  • Look at the statistics. It is going to be a successful marketing campaign.
  • Look at the statistics. It is not going to be a successful marketing campaign.
  • Look at the statistics. Is it going to be a successful marketing campaign? 

Use

Etorkizuna be going to egiturarekin erabiltzen dugu hurrengoa berresteko, ezezteko edo galdetzeko:

  • Betebeharrak (baiezko eta ezezko formak);
  • Iragarpenak (orain ikusi ahal ditugun seinaleekin oinarrituz);
  • Gertatuko diren gauzak (ziur gaude).

Summary

Be going to erabiko dugu betebehar, iragarpen eta gertatuko diren gauzei buruz hitz egiteko.

Adibidez:
— “I am going to work on an important project next month.” = Be going to erabiltzen dugu mintzailearen, oraindik antolaturik ez dagoen, proiektu garrantsitzu batean lan egiteko intentzioak erakusteko.
♦ “I am working on an important project next month.” = Present continuous  etorkizunerako erabiltzen dugu mintzaileak proiektu garrantsitzu batean lan egingo duela jada antolaturik dagoela erakusteko.

Related

You need to distinguish between Be going to (express commands, predictions and things that are about to happen, but it is not arranged yet) and present continuous for future (introduce predictions, beliefs or intentions about the future and it is already arranged).

  • At A1 level, you can look back be going to (refers to intentions and future plans that have already been decided).
