Introduction
Adberbioak klausularen beste elementuen modifikatzaile moduan funtzionatzen duten espresioak dira. Informazio ugari eman dezakete.
Modu adberbioak zerbait egiteko moduari (nola) buruz informazioa emateko erabiltzen da.
Form
Modu adberbioak normalean aditz baten atzetik jartzen dura eta very edo too hitzen atzetik ere jarri daitezke batzutan.
Regular
Kasu gehienetan, modu adberbioa -ly adjektibora gehituz lortzen dugu. Adibidez:

Irregular
Irregularitate batzuk daude modu adberbioak eratzeko , beraz ez ditugu arau berdinak jarraitzen edo batzutan adjektiboaren forma berdina jartzen dugu. Adibidez:

Regular
- He was very badly hurt in the accident.
- She didn’t know exactly how to use this machine.
- She told them that she had a headache but they continued talking too loudly.
- She combed her hair nicely.
- She went to the Social Welfare and asked politely for help.
Irregular
- He put orange juice in the fridge fast.
- You said it well.
- This job is so hard, I need a drink.
- He answered my question late.
- Hold the bottle straight.
Use
Modu adberbioak erabiltzen ditugu zerbait nola gertatzen edo egiten den adierazten du (badly, exactly, loudly, nicely, politely, fast, well, hard, late, straight…).
Hurrengoekin erabili daitezke:
- Very: mailakatzeko gai diren adjektibo edo adberbioei garrantzia emateko.
- Too: nahi duguna baino gehiago, behar baino gehiago edo gehiegi adierazteko.
Summary
Modu adberbioak zerbait egiteko moduari (nola) buruz informazioa emateko erabiltzen da, eta ekintza nabarmentzen du. Normalean aditz baten atzetik doa eta batzutan aurretik.
-ly adjektiboari gehituz sortzen dira (badly, exactly, loudly, nicely, politely…).
Adibidez:
— “Quick” ⇒ “He quickly kissed the girl on the cheek.” / “He very quickly kissed the girl on the cheek.” = -ly gehitzen dugu eta very ekintzari aparteko garrantzia emateko.
Modu adberbio batzuk irregularrak dira eta adjektiboen forma berdina bakarrik mantentzen dute (fast, well, hard, late, straight…).
Adibidez:
— “Straight” ⇒ “Walk straight, the Chinese restaurant is there.” = Straight berdin gelditzen da.
OHARRA: Very edo too hitzekin ere erabili daitezke.
