Introduction

Gerund is a verb that functions as a noun referring to an action, a process or a state.

Form

Gerund consists of base form of the verb and -ing.

Example

  • He is good at ballroom dancing.
  • She enjoys playing with her friends in the park.
  • Counting to ten is easy.
  • Reading the newspaper is important.
  • I like going to museums.
  • She is always listening to that song.

Use

Gerund is used as a noun referring to a state, a process or an action.
