Introduction
I sostantivi [nouns] si riferiscono a una persona, un luogo, una cosa, un evento, una sostanza o una qualità.
Ci sono dei sostantivi che sono uguali sia per il genere maschile che per il femminile.
Form
Non c’è una regola fissa per la formazione dei sostantivi.
I sostantivi più frequentemente usati per i generi maschile e femminile sono: cousin, doctor, driver, friend, student, teacher, teenager…

- My favourite aunt is a doctor.
- My favourite uncle is a doctor.
- Driver
- Adam likes cars. He is a good driver.
- Julia likes cars. She is a good driver.
- Teacher
- My dad works at school. He is a teacher.
- My mum works at school. She is a teacher.
Use
Usiamo i nomi quando ci riferiamo a persone, luoghi, cose, eventi, sostanze o qualità.
Non c’è una regola fissa riguardo i sostantivi che rimangono uguali nei generi maschile e femminile; dobbiamo solo imparare queste parole e ricordare che rimangono le stesse per entrambe le forme.

Per esempio:
