Introduction

Sustantiboek pertsona, leku, gauza, gertaera, sustantzia edo kualitate bati erreferentzia egiten diote.

Badaude sustantiboak maskulino eta femeninoetarako genero berdina dutenak.

Form

Ez dago arau finkorik bi generoekin sustantiboak eratzeko.

Jakin behar dugu subtantibo batzuek ez dituztela bi forma desberdin, eta hitz bera erabiltzen dugula genero guztietarako.

Biak maskulino eta feminino generoetarako gehien erabiltzen direnak hurrengoak dira: cousin, doctor, driver, friend, student, teacher, teenager…

Noun with both genders is nouns which are the same for masculine and feminine genders. Also, we have nouns with three genders (masculine, feminine, and neutral).

Besides, nouns are either singular or plural. Some nouns are irregular plural.
