Introduction
Present Continuous (або progressive)- це час, який вживається для того щоб розповісти про ситуації, які відбуваються у момент мовлення (перед тим, протягом і після моменту мовлення).
При вираженні у Запитальній формі, він вживається для утворення питань про події, які відбуваються зараз.
EXTRA: Present Continuous = Теперішній Тривалий; Progressive = поступовий.
Form
Progressive- Запитальна форма дієслова to eat має таку структуру:
To be + subject + [verb + -ing] + …?

Use
Ми вживаємо Present Continuous щоб розповісти про:
- події, які відбуваються у момент мовлення;
- тимчасові дії (які закінчаться у майбутньому);
- дії, які заплановані на майбутнє;
- зміни і тенденції;
- послідовність подій.
Summary
Present Continuous вживається для того, щоб розповісти про ситуації які відбуваються у момент мовлення. При вживанні у Запитальній формі, можна вживати його для утворення питань.
Present Continuous у Запитальній формі має таку структуру:
To be + subject + [verb + -ing] + …? (e.g. Are you eating?).
Наприклад:
— “Is he working on an important project today?” = У цьому випадку вживаємо Present Continuous тому що необхідно запитати про подію яка відбувається при мовленні, у той момент.
♦ “Does he work on important projects?” = У цьому випадку вживаємо Present simple тому що необхідно запитати про подію яка відбувається повторно або завжди у теперішньому.
