Introduction
Demonstrative Adjectives – це визначники, які вживаються перед іменниками для розміщення об’єктів в просторі і визначення позиції по відношенню до відстані від мовця.

Нижче можна побачити список Demonstrative Adjectives, які ми вживаємо перед іменниками:

Example
Near
- This car belongs to my father (singular).
- These shoes are too big for me (plural).
Far
- That boy is from Turkey (singular).
- Those boxes over there are very heavy (plural).
Use
Зазвичай Demonstrative Adjective передує іменнику.
Ми вживаємо this (однина) і these (множина) для речей і людей які знаходяться біля мовця (тут).
Ми вживаємо that (однина) і those (множина) для речей і людей які знаходяться далеко.
Summary
Ми використовуємо Demonstrative Adjectives для визначення позиції іменника по відношенню до дистанції від мовця. Demonstrative Adjectives відрізняються в залежності від числа:
- близько до мовця: для іменників однини вживається this і для іменників множини these.
- далеко до мовця: для іменників однини вживається that і для іменників множини those.
Наприклад:
— “This apple pie seems delicious!” = Цей яблучний пиріг є близько до мовця.
— “That apple pie seems delicious!” = Цей яблучний пиріг є далеко від мовця.
— “These apples are delicious!” = The apples are near the speaker.
— “Those apples look delicious!” = The apples are far from the speaker.
NOTE: Вказівні прикметники передують іменнику.
