Introduction
El futuro [future] es el tiempo utilizado para expresar eventos del futuro. Usamos la estructura del futuro simple [future simple] para introducir predicciones, creencias o intenciones del futuro.
Cuando se expresa en su forma negativa, el verbo niega algo del sujeto.
Form
El futuro simple, en su forma negativa, tiene esta estructura:
Subject + will + not + verb + …

La forma abreviada de la forma negativa es: I’ll not/I won’t – you’ll not/you won’t – he’ll not/he won’t…
Example
- Promesas
- I won’t go there, I promise!
- She promises she won’t wear a bikini.
- We won’t tell you if he shows up.
- Decisiones espontáneas
- It’s hot, I won’t put my gloves on.
- We won’t come tonight.
- I won’t call you back!
- Esperanzas/opiniones/predicciones
- I hope they won’t leave soon.
- I think she won’t pay with cash.
- In my opinion, they won’t buy this business.
Use
Se usa el futuro simple, en su forma negativa, para:
- Hacer promesas;
- Tomar decisiones espontáneas;
- Expresar esperanzas, opiniones, o predicciones.
Summary
Usamos el futuro simple [future simple], en la forma negativa, para negar predicciones, creencias o intenciones del futuro y cuando estamos seguros de que estos eventos no pasarán.
La estructure es:
Subject + will + not + verb + …
Por ejemplo:
— “We will not work on important projects next month.” = Usamos el futuro simple para expresar la decisión.
♦ «We don’t work on important projects.» = present simple negatve, to work (do not work).
