Introduction
A főnévi igenév [infinitive] az ige alap alakja, amit más igeidők képzésére használunk.
Form
Kétféle főnévi igeneves alak létezik:
- A zero infinitive, amely csak az ige alap alakjából áll (work).
- A to-infinitive, amely a to-ból és az ige alap alakjából áll. (to work).
Example
Zero inifinitive
- I can speak Spanish.
- He can count to ten.
- They can write in Russian.
To-infinitive
- I asked him to teach me French.
- She loves to paint with watercolours.
- We hope to find a yellow dress.
Use
