Introduction
Preposizioak ezinbestekoak dira deitaile gehigarriak ematen dizkigulako esaldi bati buruz.
Adjektiboak esaldi batean bi posizio ezberdinetan kokatu daitezkeen determinatzaileak dira, pertsona edo gauza bat modifikatzeko edo deskribatzeko. Adjektibo batzuk preposizio zehatz batzuekin bakarrik erabili daiteko.
Form
Adjektiboekin doazen gehien erabiltzen diren preposizioak hurrengoak dira: at, for, in, of eta to.
Esaldietan preposizioen aurretik doazen adjektiboen adibide batzuk hurrengoak dira:
- Angry, bad, brilliant, good, lucky, present, slow, terrible… + at + …
- Famous, grateful, known, prepared, responsible, sorry… + for + …
- Dressed, interested, involved, skilled… + in + …
- Afraid, ashamed, aware, bad, difficult, full, jealous, made, proud, scared, tired… + of + …
- Addicted, connected, engaged, friendly, grateful, limited, married, polite… + to + …
Example
At
- The audience is angry at the musician.
- She is good at drawing.
- All students should be present at the theatre play, it’s compulsory.
For
- I am very sorry for your loss.
- Smoking is extremely bad for you.
- The novel was too difficult for his class.
In
- I’m interested in modern art.
- She is involved in promoting modern music.
- They both are skilled in chemistry and mathematics.
Of
- The director is very proud of his movie.
- Jason was ashamed of his behavior.
- She is full of energy.
To
- I think I’m a bit addicted to music.
- He doesn’t feel connected to his country at all.
- My sister is married to an English photographer.
Use
Preposizio batzuk adjektibo zehatz batzuekin bakarrik erabiltzen dira zerbait adierazteko, baina ez dago arau gramatikalik hauek esaldian konbinatzeko.
Summary
Preposizioak oso garrantzitsuak dira esaldiari buruz informazio gehigarria hematen dutelako. Adjektibo batzuk preposizio batzuekin bakarrik joan daitezke. Ez dago araurik gai honi buruz, beraz buruz ikasi behar dira.

Adibidez:
— “She is good at being a good friend.” = good beti erabiltzen dugu at preposizioarekin.
— “I am responsible for the adverts.” = responsible beti erabiltzen dugu for preposizioarekin.
