Introduction
Pridjevi [adjectives] su determinatori s dva moguća položaja unutar rečenice. Koristimo ih za opisivanje osobe ili stvari.
Prijedlozi [prepositions] su bitni su jer omogućuju dodatna objašnjenja o rečenici.
Određeni pridjevi se koriste samo s određenim prijedlozima.
Form
Neki od prijedloga koji se koriste samo s određenim pridjevima su: at, for, of, to i in.
Neki od pridjeva koji se koriste samo s određenim prijedlozima:
- Angry, bad, brilliant, good, lucky, present, slow, terrible… + at + …
- Famous, grateful, known, prepared, responsible, sorry… + for + …
- Afraid, ashamed, aware, bad, difficult, full, jealous, made, proud, scared, tired… + of + …
- Addicted, connected, engaged, friendly, grateful, limited, married, polite… + to + …
- Dressed, interested, involved, skilled… + in + …

- The audience is angry at the musician.
- She is good at drawing.
- All students should be present at the theatre play, it’s compulsory.

- I am very sorry for your loss.
- Smoking is extremely bad for you.
- The novel was too difficult for his class.

- The director is very proud of his movie.
- Jason was ashamed of his behavior.
- She is full of energy.
To
- I think I’m a bit addicted to music.
- He doesn’t feel connected to his country at all.

Use
Neki pridjevi se koriste samo s određenim prijedlozima za izricanje nečega, no ne postoji čvrsto gramatičko pravilo kako ih kombinirati u rečenici.
Summary
Prijedlozi [prepositions] su bitni su jer omogućuju dodatna objašnjenja o rečenici. Neki pridjevi dolaze samo uz određene prijedloge. Ne postoji čvrsto pravilo vezano za tu temu pa se kombinacije trebaju naučiti napamet.
