Introduction

Jednostavno buduće vrijeme [future simple] je glagolsko vrijeme koje se koristi za izricanje predviđanja, vjerovanja i namjera u budućnosti.

Kada se koristi u potvrdnom obliku, glagol potvrđuje nešto o subjektu.

Form

Future simple u potvrdnom obliku ima ovu strukturu:
Subject + will + verb + …

  • Skraćeni potvrdni oblik: I’ll – you’ll – he’ll…
Subject will Verb
I/You/He/She/It will work
We/You/They will work

Example

  1. Obećanje
    • I will be there, I promise!
    • She promises she will wear a bikini.
    • We will tell you if he shows up.
  2. Spontane odluke
    • I’m cold, I will put my gloves on!
    • Sure, he’ll come tonight.
    • No worries, they’ll call you back.
  3. Nada/mišljenje/predviđanje
    • I hope you will leave soon.
    • I think she will pay with cash.
    • In my opinion, they will buy this business.

Use

Future simple, u potvrdnom obliku, koristimo za potvrđivanje:

  1. Obećanja;
  2. Spontanih odluka;
  3. Nada, mišljenja ili predviđanja.

Jednostavno buduće vrijeme [future simple], u potvrdnom obliku, koristimo za potvrđivanje predviđanja, vjerovanja ili planova u budućnosti te kada smo sigurni da će se radnja dogoditi.

Naprimjer:
— “We will work on important projects next month.” = Koristimo future simple za izricanje budućih namjera.
♦ “We work on important projects.” = present simple affirmative, to work (work).
