Introduction
To-infinitiboareb egitura erabili dezakegu norbaiten asmoa adierazteko (ekintza baten arrazoia edo helburua).
Form
Asmo infinitiboan klausula nagusiaren subjektua eta ekintza egiten duena (infinitiboarekin adierazia) berdinak dira.
Asmo infinitiboaren egitura (to work) to-infinitiboaren berdina da (to work).
Asmoa adierazten duten egitura asko daude: to… /in order to… /so as to…
Ezezko forma egiteko, not gehitzen diogu to-infinitibioari.
Example
- I went outside to help my mom.
I went outside not to help my mom. (to do something else besides helping my mom) - He called me to invite us to the beach.
- We travelled to see our classmates.
- I went outside in order to help my mom.
I went outside in order not to help my mom. (avoiding to help my mom)
- I went outside in order to understand what my mom says.
- I went outside so as to help my mom.
Use
Asmo infinitiboa erabiltzen dugu pertsona baten helburua adierazteko. Zerbait egiteko arrazoiari buruz informatzen digu.
Egoerak adierazteko, esanahiean antzekoak diren egitura hauek erabili ahal ditugu:
- in order to … formalagoa iruditzeko
- so as to … eguneroko erabilera
- to … goiko bi formen forma laburtua
Summary
To-infinitiboaren egitura norbaiten asmoa adierazten du.
Egitura ezberdinak erabiltzen dira asmoa adierazteko: to…, in order to…, so as to…
Ezezko forma egiteko, not gehitzen dugu to-infinitiboaren aurretuk.
Adibidez:
— “I have to find an excuse to go to the cinema with them.” = Subjektuak bere zinemara joateko asmoa adierazten du.
— “I have to find an excuse not to go to the cinema with them.” = Subjektuak bere zinemara ez joateko asmoa adierazten du.
OHARRA: In order to eta so as to erabiltzen dugu aditz estatikoen aurretik, adibidez appear, have, know, seem, understand… eta ezezko forman in order not to helburua zerbait sahiestea denean.
