Summary

Glagol like koristimo za izricanje uživanja u nečemu. Koristimo različite strukture, ovisno o tvorbi glagola kojeg ćemo koristiti.

Strukture su:

  • Potvrdni oblik: Subject + like/likes + [verb + -ing]/noun + … (likes za treće lice jednine).
  • Negativni oblik: Subject + do/does + not + -like + [verb + -ing]/noun + … (does za treće lice jednine).
  • Upitni oblik: Do/does + subject + like + [verb + -ing]/noun + …? (does za treće lice jednine).

Naprimjer:
— Potvrdni oblik: “I like drinking tea.”
— Negativni oblik: “don’t like drinking tea.”
— Upitni oblik: “Do you like drinking tea?

NAPOMENA: Između like i would like postoji značajna razlika u značenju. Would like se koristi za izricanje zahtjeva ili ponuda na pristojniji način.

Naprimjer:
— “like sport.” = Koristimo like da izrazimo da subjekt uživa u sportu.
♦ “would like to do some sport.” = Koristimo would like da izrazimo želju subjekta da se bavi sportom.
