Introduction
Komparativ služi za uspoređivanje stvari, ljudi ili događaja, dok superlativ izriče superiornost neke stvari, osobe ili događaja.
Neki pridjevi i prilozi imaju nepravilne komparative i superlative.
Form
Nepravilni komparativ i superlativ ne prate uobičajena pravila tvorbe. Najčešće korišteni nepravilni komparativi i superlativi pridjeva i priloga su:

Example
Comparative
- Susan is a better assistant than her sister.
- You have to go further to get to the lawyer’s office.
- Peter is going to talk to him later about the house.
Superlative
- John is the best assistant in the office.
- This is the furthest point I’ve ever reached in the agency!
- They come the latest to the garage.
Use
Nepravilni komparativi i superlativi koriste se jednako kao i oni pravilni.
Summary
Nepravilni pridjevi/prilozi [irregular adjectives/adverbs] ne mogu pratiti ista pravila tvorbe komparativa i superlativa kao oni pravilni, pa ih se treba naučiti napamet. Najčešće korišteni su:
- Bad (pridjev) – badly (prilog) ⇒ worse (komparativ) – the worst (superlativ);
- Good (pridjev) – well (prilog) ⇒ better (komparativ) – the best (superlativ).
Naprimjer:
— Komparativ: “You can write a good CV.” ⇒ “You can write a better CV.” / “You can write a gooder CV.“
— Superlativ: “You can write a good CV.” ⇒ “You can write the best CV.” / “You can write the goodest CV.“
