Nekārtas salīdzinājumi un vispārākā pakāpe

Introduction
Salīdzinājumus [comparatives] izmanto, lai salīdzinātu divus priekšmetus, cilvēkus vai divas darbības, savukārt vispārākā pakāpe [superlatives] izsaka viena priekšmeta, cilvēka vai vienas darbības pārākumu par otru.
Ir daži īpašības un apstākļu vārdi ar nekārtas salīdzinājuma un vispārīgās pakāpes formu.
Form
Nekārtas [irregular] salīdzinājumi un nekārtnie vārdi vispārākā pakāpe neseko galvenajam veidošanas likumam. Bieži izmantojamie nekārtnie salīdzinājumi, kā arī īpašības [adjectives] un apstākļu vārdi [adverbs] vispārākajā pakāpē:

Salīdzinājumi
- Susan is a better assistant than her sister.
- You have to go further to get to the lawyer’s office.
- Peter is going to talk to him later about the house.
Vispārākā pakāpe
- John is the best assistant in the office.
- This is the furthest point I’ve ever reached in the agency!
- They come the latest to the garage.
Use
Nekārtas salīdzinājumus un nekārtas vispārāko pakāpi izmanto tādā pašā veidā, kā kārtas.
Summary
Nekārtas [irregular] īpašības/apstākļu vārdiem [adjectives/adverbs] salīdzinājuma [comparative] un vispārākās pakāpes [superlative] formas nevar izveidot tāpat kā ar kārtniem vārdiem, tāpēc tos vajag atcerēties. Bieži izmantojamie:
- Bad (adj.) – badly (adv.) ⇒ worse (comp.) – the worst (super.);
- Good (adj.) – well (adv.) ⇒ better (comp.) – the best (super.).
