Introduction

One i ones są słowami które zastępują inne, by uniknąć powtórzeń.

Form

Gdy używamy oneones stosujemy następujące struktury.

  • One: dla rzeczowników policzalnych w liczbie pojedynczej.
  • Ones: dla rzeczowników policzalnych w liczbie mnogiej.

Nie używamy ich z rzeczownikami policzalnymi.

Example

One

  • I would like a waffle. Just a small one with some cream and berries.
  • This novel is better than that one.
  • They have a new camera, it’s the one I saw in the newspaper.

Ones

  • I really like these drawings, the ones which Peter drew.
  • He needs new photos of her. The ones that I took are too dark.
  • They saw new paintings of Joanna, the ones which are at the exhibition.

Use

One oraz ones są używane by uniknąć powtarzania niepotrzebnych słów (policzalne rzeczowniki w liczbie pojedynczej lub mnogiej).

Summary

Używamy one oraz ones by uniknąć powtórzeń.

  • One jest używane zamiast rzeczowników policzalnych w liczbie pojedynczej.
  • Ones jest używane zamiast rzeczowników policzalnych w liczbie mnogiej.

Na przykład:
— “There is a phone on the table. The black one is mine.” = Phone jest rzeczownikiem policzalnym w liczbie pojedynczej.
— “There are 3 phones on the table. The black ones are mine.” = Phones jest rzeczownikiem policzalnym w liczbie mnogiej.
