Introduction
One ve Ones isimlerin yerine alarak gereksiz tekrarları önlemek için kullanılır.
Form
One ve Ones kullanacağımız zaman aşağıdaki formül kullanılır:
One: Tekil isimler için.
Ones: Çoğul isimler için.
Sayılamayan isimler için kullanamayız.
Example
One
- I would like a waffle. Just a small one with some cream and berries.
- This novel is better than that one.
- They have a new camera, it’s the one I saw in the newspaper.
Ones
- I really like these drawings, the ones which Peter drew.
- He needs new photos of her. The ones that I took are too dark.
- They saw new paintings of Joanna, the ones which are at the exhibition.
Use
One/ Ones , daha önce bahsedilen bir kelimeyi tekrar etmekten kaçınmak için kullanılır.
Summary
One ve Ones gereksiz tekrarları önlemek için kullanılır.
- Eğer sayılabilir tekil bir isimin yerine kullanacaksak One,
- Sayılabilir çoğul bir isimin yerine kullanacaksak Ones kullanılır.
Örnek:
— “There is a phone on the table. The black one is mine.” = Tekil, sayılabilen bir isim phone.
— “There are 3 phones on the table. The black ones are mine.” = Çoğul sayılabilen isim phones.
